CMPD

Within CMPD it has been agreed that all G7s performing a contract management role should reach practitioner level while G6s performing a contract management role should aim for expert. SCS in contract management roles should also aim for Expert. All individuals that were managing either gold or silver contracts have been enrolled and received funding for their accreditation through the Cabinet Office, however, this funding has now ceased and any further colleagues must have funding in place to be able to enrol on the programme. Based on attrition rates we have estimated how much funding we will need for 23/24 and we already have one colleague (Helen Thomas) who we need to enrol onto an expert programme.

The CMCP is essential for colleagues who manage gold and silver contracts as part of their role and it supports us to deliver effective public services and ensure value for money but ensures we are building individual capability for our colleagues by equipping them with the tools they need to manage contracts effectively.
