description
The Threat Mitigation Technologies (TMT) department within the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) provides technical advice and capabilities to a range of operational policing customer groups. One capability is the continued provision of explosives detection capabilities for various operational requirements and infrastructures. As such, a requirement has arisen for the replacement of current hand held explosives vapour detection systems currently deployed at sites within the London. Following an extensive modernisation of capabilities 10 years ago and regular reviews observing of no significant development of the market for such equipments since then, we are looking for a direct like for like replacement for aging units currently deployed. Therefore we seek quotes for two off of standard Rapiscan MobileTrace ion mobility spectrometers.
