Wichelstowe Marketing & Branding

Swindon Borough Council are seeking a consultant or consortium of consultants to develop a brand identity for the Wichelstowe site as a whole, a sub-brand for the first parcel of market housing and a strategy for managing the pre-launch and launch phases of the development.

The strategy should look to meet the objectives for the site and set Wichelstowe apart as a high quality place distinct from standard new build development. We are not just looking for a logo to include on marketing material but instead a brand approach with personality that permeates through every part of the site from the architecture, to the landscaping and the interiors of the showhomes. We anticipate that the brand book will be a crucial guide for all members of the design team and will set the tone for all marketing materials and activities up to and including final sales.

We require advice on marketing materials and activities, as well as timings through the development process up to and including sales. The approach should reflect that we are not starting from a blank sheet of paper and there are already a number of planning consents in place as well as the Waitrose store. The early phases of residential development will set the tone for the remainder of the site and we are therefore also seeking a sub-brand for the first housing parcels.
