Sale of Scrap Waste Containers

Applications are invited from companies wishing to purchase waste and shipping containers.

There are 7 hook lift storage containers, 2 open top 40yd container and 3 shipping storage containers. The total number of containers offered for sale is 12.

The containers are to be sold 'as seen' and bidders must satisfy themselves as to the quality and condition of the containers. Leicestershire County Council gives no warranty whether expressed or implied as to the fitness or suitability of the equipment.

The containers are marked S1, S2, S2,............etc., It is recommended bidders visit the site before submitting a price for each container as per the schedule.

The highest bidder for the overall total will be the successful bidder. The successful bidder will be responsible for the loading and removal of all containers off the site once agreement has been finalised and payment has been received in full. The removal of the containers should be carried out within 28 days of them being released to the successful bidder(s). All containers are marked and located in the field next to the Lutterworth Recycling & Household Waste Site, Moorbarns Lane, Lutterworth, LE17 4JD.

Interested bidders must contact the County Council on 0116 3057986 or 3056826 to arrange for a date and time to meet on site for viewing. Bidders must report to the site office prior to viewing the containers. The Schedule for completion and the self-addressed envelope will be issued by the site staff at Lutterworth.

Companies must complete their tender on the schedule supplied

Completed schedule should be sent in the self-addressed envelope provided by noon Friday 6th December 2019. Late bids will not be accepted. Final date for viewing containers is noon Friday 29th November 2019.

We will notify you by Monday 16th December if your bid is accepted and you will be required to remove the containers once payment has been received
