The Contractor shall be expected to adhere by the HMNB site security requirements, all Contractors and Sub-Contractors shall be BPSS security vetted and will be required to hold the relevant site security passes.

The Contractor shall be expected to hold the following levels of insurance £10m Public Liability, £10m Product Liability, £5m Professional Indemnity.

Project Background

The North Corner Jetty is used berthing of Navy fleet ships. Due to the purpose of the jetty, there are significant amount of movements on and off of the jetty and the is used extensively. The jetty requires maintenance of the steel piled foundations.

6. Berth 3 Basin (6B3) is a gravity retaining structure founded on a timber piled grillage that is constructed from red engineering bricks, concrete, Portland stone and granite. The front face of the ship production hall consists of a reinforced concrete deck supported on tubular steel piles.

The scope of work is covered by four distinct work packages as detailed below;

The last full condition survey for the piles was conducted in 2019 and will be made available alongside drawings.

Please note the contract dates are indicative and could be subject to change due to MMO license approvals and other factors. The indicative contract value is circa £1,000,000 to £1,100,000.

A Non-Disclosure Agreement will also be required, prior to participating in a Pre-Qualification and/or Invitation to Tender.
