description

The Department for Transport (DfT, the Department) works with our agencies and partners to support a transport network that helps UK businesses, and gets people and goods travelling around the country. DfT plan and invest in transport infrastructure to keep the UK on the move.

The Department has a vision for a transport system that is an engine for economic growth, but is also greener, safer and a contributor to improved quality of life in our communities. One of the Departments' objectives is to develop a strategy to decarbonise transport and minimise more generally transport's impact on the environment.

The Department for Transport wishes to set up a contract for the provision of a targeted feasibility study to underpin the development of a third Advanced Biofuels Demonstration Competition, the follow up to the existing Advanced Biofuel Demonstration Competition (ABDC) and Future Fuels for Flight and Freight Competition (F4C). This study will build on the 2014 study that supported the development, launch and management of ABDC, and the 2017 study which supported the launch of the F4C which has made progress towards Stage 2.
