Hosted Skype for Business Unified Communications,Contact Centre and SIP Trunks (RM1045 Network Services-Lot10)

Folkestone and Hythe District Council is currently going through a process of Digital Transformation to facilitate a flexible working culture. A strategy for cloud based telecommunications infrastructure has now been approved, using Skype for Business (SfB) and the next steps are to design and procure a suitable omni channel contact centre.

The expectation is that the hosted solution will:

Provide an affordable replacement for the ageing and end-of-life Alcatel system;

Support mobile and flexible working by bringing together telephony, video conferencing and instant messaging;

Provide functionality that moves with the user - accessible via a laptop, desktop, tablet or smart phone;

Reduce the need for travel through the introduction of video conferencing and collaboration, resulting in reduced travel costs;

Meet the future needs of FHDC by being agile, flexible and scalable, to meet changing business needs over the coming years;

Allow federation and collaboration with other district and county councils, partner agencies and suppliers.
