description

To produce a literature review of the risks associated with electric vehicle (EV) fires in enclosed or open-sided car parks. From this, produce a guidance document for operators, owners, and designers of both new and existing enclosed or open-sided car parks, on the safety considerations, measures and mitigations for EV fires in enclosed or open-sided car parks. The literature review should provide a complete state-of-the-art, by reviewing existing literature and guidance, including evidence available internationally from policy development and academic research. It should clearly identify the risks posed by EV fires in enclosed or open-sided car parks, and any gaps in current research and guidance. The guidance document should detail the potential mitigations and measures that can be taken when allowing EVs to park and/or charge in and installing EV chargepoints in enclosed or open-sided car parks.
