description

The Council wishes to commission a provider to deliver 4 borough Youth Voice Events around cultural awareness sessions, engagement and social action for young people [13-25 years].

This will enable young people to build bridges across boundaries and areas they would not normally go to or interact with.

This programme will then recruit 26 young people as Youth Ambassadors from the above events. They should be equipped to run projects that support meaningful social mixing and challenge prejudices, resulting in increased acceptance from young people other small projects linked up with other elements of the Walsall for All programme.

These projects could include young people planning, delivering and evaluating their own youth voice events on topics that are meaningful to them, inspecting integration projects to ensure they are young people-friendly, being part of strategic groups to ensure young people voices are heard in decision making across a range of agendas that impact on cohesion and community Integration.
