Sheffield City Region: The Provision of Integrated Public Transport Network Strategic Outline Business Case

We are seeking suitably qualified consultants to prepare a Integrated Public Transport Strategic Outline Business Case. The work should build on the evidence bases prepared for the SCR Strategic Economic Plan,Infrastructure Investment Plan and Transport Strategy and the HS2 Growth Strategy as well as generating and compiling new evidence base as required for this commission.

The purpose of this commission is to build upon this existing evidence, to draw together an integrated connectivity strategy that sits within our existing policy and strategy framework. This will result in the production of a Strategic Outline Business Case for a fully integrated, multi-mode, public transport network that can move large numbers of people around the city region in an efficient, effective and affordable way.

Key to this commission will be to establish how a fully integrated system, can unlock economic growth constraints and help realise wider policy objectives.

This includes consideration of the integration of a range of modes including tram, bus and rail and understanding the interplay with walking, cycling, taxis and private car usage. The ITT can be downloaded from the Yortender procurement portal (www.yortender.co.uk)
