The Abbeyfield Society ~ Procurement of Cleaning Supplies

The supply of cleaning products for The Abbeyfield Society into approximately 30 Care Home sites across the UK. Each site will order individually for direct to site delivery. Orders will be sent via a purchasing portal and emailed to the supplier. Ad-hoc phone orders may also be placed at certain times.

The contract will be based on supply of 30 care homes throughout the UK. However, The Abbeyfield Society has 200 locations across the UK and the business has the opportunity to grow further.

The timetable for the process is as follows:

Clarification question and answer period ~ 3-11.9.2015 RFP response deadline ~ 18.9.2015

Evaluation ~ 25.9.2015

Suppliers notified of outcome ~ 4.10.2015

10. day standstill period ~ 5-14.10.2015 Contract awarded ~ 15.10.2015

Contract commences ~ 2.11.2015

Upon receipt of your expression of interest, a login will be provided in respect of the Litmus Tender Management system (LTMS) where the tender documents may be downloaded.

The Tender must be submitted on the LTMS by the above closing date and time.

It will be the Tenderer’s responsibility to obtain any necessary documents in order to submit a response by the closing date and time.

The contracting authority reserves the right not to award any or part of the contract which is the subject of this notice and reserves the right to terminate the procurement process at any time.

The contracting authority will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in tendering for this contract opportunity.

The contracting authority will consider variant bids, evaluating them (so far as the variant or the evaluation of the variant is in the opinion of the contracting authority practicable) on the same basis as a conforming bid, but shall not be obliged to accept any such bid in preference to a conforming bid even if the variant bid scores more highly. No variant will be considered unless the bidder simultaneously submits a conforming bid.
