description
The purpose of this procurement is to secure a consultant team to carry out a one-off item of work, to write a bespoke Asset Management Strategy for Southampton City Council's Social Housing Stock. The primary objective of the asset management strategy is to ensure that the Council's property portfolio is managed with financial prudency, balanced with ensuring that the Council continues to meet all of its statutory obligations as a Local Authority, including ensuring that all planned & cyclical improvement work programmes are strategically undertaken. A further key objective is to ensure that property decisions are made in the context of the Council's commitment to build 1000 homes by 2025, the future development of new homes, and that stock disposal & acquisition decisions are based on sound stock condition data.
