description

If you are interested in this opportunity, please express your interest on https://procontract.due-north.com/Opportunities/Index?tabName=opportunities&resetFilter=True. The Royal Docks Team (a Partnership between the Greater London Authority and the London Borough of Newham) are overseeing a transformative programme of public realm improvements to the Royal Docks estate.

Starting in 2018 the initiative primarily focused on facilitating and supporting three key development sites, Royal Albert Dock, Silvertown Quays and Royal Victoria Dock, to deliver immediate improvements to priority routes and the public realm; complementing and supporting development to this area. The current works include: a new public park, activation of sites to be used as events spaces, dock edge improvement works and improvements to the public spaces surrounding the Crystal building at the western edge of the Docks.

Further works are scheduled for 2020/ 2021 and they will include further development of the public realm, improvements to connect the dock to its residents by opening up and improving access routes, upgrading of power infrastructure and a number of soft / hard landscaping projects including, but not limited to, three sites:

The Royal Albert Way overpass.
Public realm works beneath Connaught Bridge.
Improvement works to Thames Barrier Park.

The proposed works predominantly include hard and soft landscaping, lighting and utilities. During the SSQ Stage, suppliers will be asked to demonstrate their capability and capacity, including, but not limited to, the following areas:

Experience of similar types of work and relevant standards
Experience of NEC3 contract form
Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations
Robust Health and Safety Standards and Procedures
Financial Position

In addition, Suppliers will be provided with Designs, and an example contract document, to provide clarity on the types of work that are likely to be tendered with the shortlisted organisations. If you have any questions regarding this process, please email Joe Forrester (Commercial Manager at TFL) at v_joeforrester@tfl.gov.uk
