description
Thirteen Group (the Group) requires the demolition of existing houses, bungalows, low, medium and high rise properties including brick built garden stores, garages (integral and stand-alone blocks), fencing and other domestic structures associated with previously tenanted properties.
For the purpose of this tender, we have three live projects and they will be evaluated separately; quality questions will be the same but each project but will be priced separately. The most economically advantageous tender(s) will be awarded the work. If the same contractor wins all three projects then a conversation around resource and capability will take place and the Client reserves the right not to allocate all three to the same contractor if there are concerns.
The contract will be in the name of Thirteen Housing Group Limited (the Client) North Shore, North Shore Road, Stockton on Tees, TS18 2NB. The agreement will be in place for 4 years.
Contractors tendering under this framework should confirm what demolition trade organisations (e.g. National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) or Institute of Demolition Clients (UK)) they are members of.
Contractors must be licensed by the HSE for asbestos removal and should confirm what trade organisations (e.g. Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) or Asbestos Control & Abatement Division they are members of.
The buildings, which are to be covered under the framework will include but will not be limited to, low, medium and high rise residential blocks, houses and garages. The scope of works shall include site preparation, demolition and clearance work. There may be from time to time asbestos removal and it is a requirement that successful contractors will have their own in-house asbestos removal team, as there will be no sub-contracting of demolition or asbestos removal. The Client has its own appointed suppliers from its Asbestos Management and Removal Framework for the survey and removal of asbestos in relation to pre-demolition works.
The Client intends to enter into framework agreements to establish a maximum of up to five contractors. There will be one preferred contractor and the Client reserves the right to award work up to the value of £50k to that contractor. All work over this value will be subject to further competitions and all contractors on the framework will be invited to bid. Where we have a business emergency The Client reserves the right to award the work to the contractor in the nearest geographical area this may mean bypassing the preferred contractor if there is a more local contractor that can attend.
We reserve the right to alter the weightings price/quality for each of the further competitions as we see fit.
