Market Engagement Event for the Provision of General Dental Services for NHS England and NHS Improvement (Midlands)

NHS England and NHS Improvement - Midlands would like to invite you to attend a Market Engagement Event on 31 March 2020,4.00 - 6.00pm in the Lincolnshire area for the re-procurement of the following services:

Lot 1 - Mablethorpe (Extended Access): 18,800 UDAs; 3 extended access sessions each week over and above core hours Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm.

Lot 2 - Spalding (Extended Access); 21,000 UDAs: Dental Surgery at Johnson Community Hospital. To provide a range of extended access over and above the core hours of Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and urgent dental services to non-regular patients.

Lot 3 - Skegness/Spilsby (Extended Access): 5,000 UDAs. 3 extended access sessions each week over and above core hours Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.

The market engagement workshop will be seeking feedback on potential commissioning models to inform commissioning intentions.

The Market Engagement Event will:

• Be an opportunity for bidders to provide valuable feedback to the Commissioner which will be considered to help develop their future commissioning intentions;
• Explore options for alternative commissioning service models;
• Provide details of the re-procurement of services in 2020.

The aim of the market engagement exercise is to:

1. Support the Commissioners to decide on the potential options for the future commissioning of these services;
2. Help refine the commissioning and procurement approach, and;
3. Gauge the level of market interest from providers with the capability and capacity to deliver these services.

Any subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when this is published.
