description
The Greater London Authority's (GLA) Social Integration team is seeking an organisation(s) to work in partnership with the GLA to further develop and maintain a map of services to support migrant Londoners, especially Hong Kong BNOs arriving or living in London. The intention of the services map is to enable Londoners to identify advice and support services available to them in the capital, as part of the Mayor's new Migrant Londoners Hub.
This map of services will be part of the Mayor's new Migrant Londoners Hub, a soon to be launched resource to welcome newly arrived migrants and support Londoners with immigration needs by providing them with information about their rights and entitlements and services available to them across London. Building on existing guidance on London.gov, the Migrant Londoners Hub will include new tailored content and signpost to resources dedicated to Hong Kong BNOs, as well as other migrant groups such as rough sleepers, young people with insecure status, refugees and people seeking asylum, undocumented people, those with limited entitlements. The map of services will add to this resource by providing accessible and comprehensive information on where migrant Londoners can access safe and qualified advice and support to meet their needs.
Project Aims:
The GLA is seeking to develop a map of services to help Hong Kong BNOs and the wider London migrant population to easily identify, navigate and use services aimed at supporting them. This map of services aims to:
| • | improve migrant Londoners' access to information about where they can access safe and appropriate advice and support on immigration, employment, welfare and housing advice, alongside other relevant services |
| • | facilitate signposting between organisations delivering services to migrant Londoners, such as civil society organisations, local authorities, etc. |
| • | provide an overview of advice and support capacity within relevant organisations to help statutory and non-statutory funders identify funding needs and gaps in provision within London's advice and support sectors. |
