The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust on behalf of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA) invites tenders for the inspection and testing of fixed wire installations across the following NHS Care Organisations:

  • The Royal Oldham Hospital
  • North Manchester General Hospital
  • Fairfield General Hospital
  • Rochdale Infirmary (Including Birch Hill)
  • Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust

Plus the following off site areas which are within ½ mile from the main Salford Royal site:

  • Summerfield House
  • Hope Library
  • Cleveland House
  • Turnpike House

The contractor shall carry out 100% inspection and testing of the NCA wide electrical infrastructure with nolimitations (as far as is reasonably practicable as defined in the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989).

Inspection and Testing of the Fixed Wiring will be carried out over a 5 year period with the programme agreed between the successful company and the NCA Supervising Officer with no less than 20% being completed in each contractual year. 20% of all lighting circuits must be completed per annum with no less than 10% of these being in general ward areas.

The Trusts intend to award a contract for a period of 5 years with an option to extend for a further 2 x 12 month periods.
