Reablement at Home

Essex County Council (ECC) is working in partnership with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) to procure a Reablement at Home Service in Essex.

Reablement is defined by the Department of Health as “an active period of typically up to six weeks of intense activity and support designed to promote people’s independence. This is a preventative measure that can reduce people’s need for both acute hospital care and can help people to continue living at home for longer.”

The reablement service in Essex provides support to help individuals to improve confidence, manage their personal care and help with practical tasks and activities of daily living.

ECC is looking to enter into a 3 to 5 year contracts split out into 5 lots for a Reablement Service which is delivered to individual service users within their own home. ECC will be the lead contracting Authority working in partnership with the relevant CCG. The lots are being broken down as follows:

Lot 1 – Mid Essex covering Braintree, Chelmsford and Maldon districts Lot 2 – North East Essex covering Colchester and Tendring districts Lot 3 – South East Essex covering Castle Point and Rochford districts Lot 4 – South West Essex covering Basildon and Brentwood districts Lot 5 – West Essex covering Epping, Harlow and Uttlesford districts

This tender is a restricted tender process where only the top 20 scoring organisations at the first stage will go through to the second stage, if the number of bidders at the 20 mark is higher than 20 then all will be will be invited to the second stage, also the council reserve the right to increase the number of bidder invited to ITT if there is likelihood that any lots does not have enough potential bidders, therefore this number may increase.

Once added you will be able to download all the documentation.
