description
It is expected that over the next three years the death management system, which already experiences winter pressures from flu and other pressures, will be heightened due to Covid-19 as we learn to live with the variants and the knock-on effect from closing services down to stop the spread that was experienced in the first and second wave. ECC would like to put a contract in place that can be used at short notice to add additional storage to the system at times of Excess Death.
The contract will be to add close to 100 new spaces (90 - 110 would be acceptable) to the system.
