Essex County Council (ECC), as Lead Local Flood Authority, has a statutory duty to identify and mitigate flood risks from rainfall, watercourses and groundwater.
This contract will determine the baseline damages and properties at risk across the CDAs for given rainfall return periods; identify a long-list of potential options to reduce flood risk within the CDA based on flow paths and properties at risk; agree a short list of options with ECC for modelling, and; return high-level cost-benefit calculations for the different options.

Broomfield Central (CDA NCLF 005)
Stock Road (CDA BAS3)
Hockley (CDA NRoch 004)
Lower Hockley (CDA NRoch 008)
