description
For the appointment of a Maritime Cluster Programme Manager to drive forward a portfolio of projects to support the growth and development of the marine and maritime sector in Newhaven.
The Newhaven Enterprise Zone (NEZ) Board is happy to consider flexible resourcing options including appointment on a contractor / consultancy basis.
Newhaven Enterprise Zone has published an ambitious three-year Business Plan (2023 - 2026) to unleash economic growth with its core focus on creating employment floorspace and increasing the number of skilled jobs in the area.
The Business Plan sets out a proactive investment programme to support clean, inclusive growth through infrastructure investment, supporting emerging sectors, encouraging low carbon, greener business practices and continuing to re-position and raise the profile of Newhaven as an investment location.
The NEZ has recently commissioned a Maritime and Marine Cluster report, which identifies the strengths, opportunities and potential of the sector. The marine and maritime sector is an important part of Newhaven's economy, heritage and identity. The focus of this Programme Manager commission is to develop the strategy and action plan into a tangible programme to support and grow the sector.
