description

This notice is to award the contract for the Counter Insurgency, Terrorism and Stability operations infrastructure project which is based in Kenya.

The joint vision of a Kenyan Counter Insurgency School shared by CDS and Kenya Army Chief in 2018 has since expanded into a wider trilateral (Kenya/UK/US) multi-agency COIN, CT & Stability Ops (CITSO) programme to support Kenya in countering the domestic and regional aS threat. Whilst the original concept for a Regional Centre of Excellence focused on delivering infrastructure, the UK has since committed to support doctrine development and provision of training support; a CITSO 'pilot course' (supported by UK trainers) is scheduled for 2022 as KMOD seek to operationalise the programme and validate their new doctrine. The curricula of the portfolio of courses to be offered by the Centre overlap considerably with the AMISOM (now ATMIS) PDT currently delivered by UK STTT to the KDF each year.
