description
DCMS launched a call for evidence to gather data and analysis to collect evidence on short-term lets in the UK. The call for evidence is intended to gather a wide range of information on the short-term letting market and its impacts (both positive and negative). It asks a range of questions on:
- The market today and how it has grown in recent years
- Benefits to consumers, businesses & the wider economy
- Challenges arising from compliance with the existing regulatory framework, and the impact on housing supply & local communities
- Views on the most appropriate potential policy response and their potential impacts
- Other information such as the evidence on the approach other cities/countries globally have taken.
DCMS now requires a supplier to analyse the survey responses, which would be available to download in Excel or CSV format from the Qualtrics platform. Some responses are also being collected via e-mail. This work will require an analysis of the qualitative and quantitative responses, as well as a summary report of the key findings and policy implications.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
