description
The Raman instrument will be used to measure materials traditionally used in the anode electrode of Lithium-ion batteries. The technique provides an opportunity to measure and characterise materials which would usually be considered less crystalline/amorphous which would be difficult to characterise with alternative/standard methods.
The instrument should fulfil the following criteria:
| • | Ability to measure powders (Goods inwards check to ensure materials are compliant with specification). |
| • | Ability to measure and quantify constituent components to assess electrode homogeneity e.g., clusters/agglomerations of active material after electrode coating. |
| • | Ability to measure degradation of electrode materials after processing/cycling. |
