description
At present the Force has a number of Checkpoint and Cisco firewall security devices positioned around the force, both technologies have central management facilities. Considerable time, effort and specialist training has been dedicated to ensuring these firewalls meet current security standards.
The force wants to improve its security architecture using a walled garden approach to support its PSN accreditation as well as IPS/IDS technology for enhanced security using more capable firewalls with more processing power to deal with consolidated requirements.
