description

This is a Call Off Contract awarded under the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Debt Resolution Services (DRS) Framework (RM6226). The Call Off is awarded under Lot 6 - Litigation Services.

The contract is for a pilot scheme to test working with the private sector to enforce cases in the High Court and county court, including applications for charging orders, orders for sale and third-party debt orders.

Confiscation orders are the principal means by which the government carries out its policy to deprive criminals of the proceeds of their crimes. They are used with the intention to disrupt and deter criminality. The prosecution can ask the Crown Court to make a confiscation order after a defendant has been convicted of a criminal offence. A confiscation order requires the defendant to pay back the benefits they've obtained through crime.
