Contract opportunity: Tenant dilapidations management services (UK)
VSO is a global voluntary organisation whose mission is to bring people together to fight poverty through the lasting power of volunteering.
We will be running a tender process with the intention of awarding a contract for the provision of Tenant Dilapidations Management services/ Dilapidations Surveyor and are seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified surveyors.
VSO currently occupies a 4-story office building close to the centre of Kingston upon Thames with a total floor space of 1,921.70 Sqm. The lease for this property ends in May 2023 and we are looking to vacate the premises by the end of 2022 for the dilapidations works to take place. The tender will be divided into 2 phases:
Phase 1 - Schedule of Works
Phase 2 - Administration of Contract
Either Phase 1 or both Phase 1 & 2 will be awarded to the winning bidder, depending on what agreement is reached with the Landlord following the end of Phase 1.
VSO's requirements:
Suppliers must be certified surveyors and must have previous experience of delivering similar sized commercial dilapidations projects.
Phase 1: Schedule of works - to include construction schedule, quotes/tenders, and specifications.
Phase 2: Administration of contract - to include oversight of the works, cost and quality control and loss mitigation. The surveyor will need to assess the merit of the Landlord's claim, ensure timely delivery of the works and that they are being carried out in line with the terms of the lease and completed in time for the surrender of the lease in May 2023.
Expressions of interest: all expressions of interest must be received by VSO by Monday 20th June 2020 at 10:00am local UK time and must be submitted electronically (emailed) to the following email address: anthy.kapsalis@vsoint.org. The EOI must include a contact name, company name, company address, phone and email address.
Tender documents: tender documents will be sent to those who expressed an interest, following the close of the EOI period.
Anticipated contract start date: 1st August 2022
Contract period:
Phase 1: August 2022- September 2022
Phase 2: November 2022 - April 2023
VSO reserves the right not to award a contract.
