Falls Prevention Service

The London Borough of Hackney are pleased to invite bids for the Falls Prevention Service. The service is open to all older people - aged 55 and over - in Hackney and the City of London who are experiencing problems with their balance and strength, who have had a fall or who have become fearful of having a fall. Evidence-based targeted exercise in groups will be accessible to those service users who can travel independently and have the cognitive ability to remember the exercise routines.

In addition, for Hackney residents only, the service will also offer a free home safety check to address falls risks in the home, and an outreach and educational programme will engage with older people and the professionals who provide their care, in a range of venues.
