MHCLG requires planning experts to provide direct support to MHCLG planning teams regarding possible intervention action in Local Plans in England only. This support shall include undertaking specific background reports on Local Plans to assist in the preparation of Ministerial advice by MHCLG officials and, if the Secretary of State makes the decision to take intervention action, a range of follow up specialist support to prepare plans and progress them through to adoption.
