The technical writer will be required to:
- develop a detailed understanding of a complex set of vocational education reforms, including 14-19 vocational qualifications, 16-19 study programmes, traineeships, work experience and English and maths requirements, as well as underpinning funding and accountability policy;
- influence stakeholders to produce a range of communications and associated products in different formats that explain to a wide range of audiences the totality, interdependencies and benefits of vocational education reforms;
- support the placing of these communications in relevant professional journals and other media.
The technical writer should:
- demonstrate the ability to explain complex and technical detail in terms that are widely understood to professionals working within education and/or young people’s services;
- have strong and recent experience of assimilating and conveying technical content, preferably relating to education or other government policy.
