OJEU Notice Ref: 2015/S 115-208731 Title UK-London: HQIP NCA 171 National Joint Registry: Data Management, Solutions & Associated Services. Contract Value & Duration: An estimated budget of £6,849,700 GBP over 36 months with a view to extend for up to a further 24 months. Estimated 5 year budget range of between £6,849,700 GBP and £10,916,293 GBP Requirements for this contract:

HQIP requires a fully managed service for capturing and managing information about hip, knee, ankle, elbow and shoulder joint procedures carried out in the UK for both public and private healthcare providers.

Key elements include but are not limited to:

Data management

Collection and management of procedure data through direct input via a secure web-portal;
Collection of and management of procedure data through interfaces with in-situ patient systems;
Secure storage of procedure data;
Secure storage of other NJR captured data;
Validation systems to ensure that all data entered is credible;
Validation and management systems to ensure data quality, retrospectively and prospectively;
Reconciliation, linkage and comparison of data with other national datasets including Hospital Episode Statistics Database England (HES), Patient Episode Database Wales (PEDW), national and NJR-funded Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS), Orthopaedic Data Evaluation Panel (ODEP) and it is anticipated that future requirements will include independent sector dataset(s);
Reconciliation, linkage and comparison of data with other national and international datasets including those from European and International device registries;
Development and management of an appropriate continuous monitoring system;
Production and publication of standardised datasets and reports including potential outlier identifications, ad hoc data requests, research requests and patient operation data requests;
Production of the NJR Annual Report datasets and linked dataset;
Regional stakeholder user support to promote data quality and a helpdesk and notification service for all data management and data solutions activities;
Training of end-users for all data management and data solutions activities;
Formal data collection, patient consent and other information governance applications to regulatory and responsible agencies as and when required and related support;
Advice and expertise as appropriate to the role in regards to national and international best practice in registry development and post-market surveillance.

  • Hosting, maintenance, management, development and data processing associated with stakeholder information services available on, at or through www.njrcentre.org.uk Optional associated services
NJR Annual Report project management support;
Expenses administration support to NJRSC and NJR Sub-committees.
