To support delivery of Wolverhamptons' Visitor Economy Marketing and Communications Plan to grow thenumber and range of events coming to the city

Marketing Birmingham is the area’s strategic marketing partnership and operates the leisure and business tourism programmes Visit and Meet Birmingham, as well as its inward investment programme, Business Birmingham. These programmes promote the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership area (Birmingham, Solihull, southern Staffordshire (Cannock Chase, Lichfield, Tamworth and East Staffordshire) and northern Worcestershire (Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest)) and the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership area (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton) as a place to visit, meet and invest. The company is public/private funded by (i) Birmingham City Council; (ii) the European Regional Development Fund and (iii) private sector partners from across the area’s business community. Marketing Birmingham and its ERDF partners have been awarded European Regional Development Funding for its Investing in the City Region project for the period up until September 2015.

This Tender aims to appoint a supplier to support delivery of Wolverhampton’s Visitor Economy Marketing and Communications Plan to grow the number and range of events coming to Wolverhampton.

The project outputs will inform the strategic thinking of partners in the City of Wolverhampton and also inform the work of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP and Black Country LEPs. Marketing Birmingham and other project partners are looking to position, market and promote the area as a place to invest and grow the regional economy.
