NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England Midlands and East (Central Midlands) and Lincolnshire West CCG are carrying out a market engagement exercise for the forthcoming procurement exercise; Provision of Primary Medical GP Services at University Health Centre, Lincoln University, Brayford Pool, Lincoln, LN6 7GA.
This Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract has an anticipated start date of 1 October 2016. The Service Specification will be fully developed following patient engagement and the successful provider will need to demonstrate that they can deliver service(s) of a continuously high-quality and will be responsive to the needs of the local population. The Provider will be assessed on an on-going basis to ensure they deliver the quality required. The services must be provided by GPs and Nurses and the provider will be expected to deliver:
- a)High quality Primary Medical Services responsive to the needs of the predominantly student population
- b)Promotion of healthy living with the aim of tackling the underlying causes of ill health
- c)Essential services
- d)All additional services
- e)All Enhanced Services commissioned by NHS England, the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and the local council
- f)Increased access.

Please note this is purely a market assessment exercise to gather facts on potential providers. The subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when published. The responses received during the market analysis exercise will not be taken into account in any future evaluation process as part of the formal procurement process. As part of this market engagement exercise a short questionnaire is requested to be completed by 17:00 on 8 April 2016.
