Invitation to the Shannon Trust Showcase
- July 10am-11.30am
With Prison Education Service, Creating Future Opportunities and Core Probation Services recommissioning on the horizon, we can expect new specifications to be published soon.
Information provided from the Ministry Of Justice during market engagement events has indicated that there will be a focus on early engagement, basic literacy and numeracy.
With the recent government focus on developing basic literacy and numeracy skills in prisons highlighted in the Prison Strategy White Paper, the need to support people to improve their literacy and numeracy skills is likely.
We are hosting an online seminar to introduce you to Shannon Trust and the work we do to tackle issues of non-engagement and how we support people to learn to read and do basic maths.
During the seminar, you will also see a demonstration of our innovative literacy app Turning Pages Digital. A unique, dynamic and interactive web-based application that enables people with low literacy levels to learn to read, even if they have never read a word before. Watch this short video for more information : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDfNyAolcfY
The seminar will last for 90 minutes which includes a Q&A session. Register your interest to attend here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/shannon-trust-showcase-tickets-662925316467
Further information can be found via the flyer attached.
We look forward to meeting with you and exploring the possibilities for partnering
