NHS Guildford and Waverly Clinical Commissioning Group and Surrey County Council are seeking interested organisations to be invited attend a bidder information day where we will highlight our aspirations for the provision of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The apsiration is an integrated model that should significantly improve the care and support to be provided, putting the child / young person and their family at the centre. Other aspirations include:

single point of access through and ‘no wrong door’ all refers made to be accepted and child/young people and family supported in the right service
access times extended and flexible to meet demand, including weekends
shorter waiting times
joined up, integrated care across health, education and social care
choice appointments and increased participation of children and young people
service capacity and capability flexible to meet need
improved crisis management
An emotional and behavioural problems and disorders pathway led and managed by CAMHS responsible for diagnosis; medication management and therapeutic interventions for 6-18 year olds
16-25 year olds pathway for young people known to specialist CAMHS not accessing adult mental health services and who can self-refer

Additional information: This is an expression of interest aimed at providers who have experience in delivering integrated children and adolescent mental health services. The resulting procurement will be conducted in line with current regulation, and will be issued shortly.

The contracting authority is looking to present its aspirations as to the services and potential scope of the contract.

This will be an interesting and informative event including clincal and service leads.
