Bournemouth Borough Council is looking for a supplier to provide generators, including installing, testing and removal at the Bournemouth Air Festival. The Bournemouth Air Festival is a 4-day event taking place annually over a weekend in August / September. The dates for 2018 will be Thursday 30th August - Sunday 2nd September with dates for futures years being confirmed in the September after the current year's event. The event is free to the general public and over 1 million people attend ranging from families to aviation enthusiasts. Trading and ground content takes place throughout the day and evening from 10:00 - 22:00 with the core training times being 10:00 - 18:00. The flying displays take place every afternoon ranging from two to four hours and include a mix of military and civilian content. The Night Air programme includes a dusk flying display, fireworks, Royal Navy Beat Retreat and stage entertainment. The main event site is along Bournemouth Promenade and sandy beach stretching 1.5 miles. The event site has a secondary level on the East Overcliff.
