description

The purpose of this paper is to outline the procurement options and considerations for the purchase of an indicative total of 15 Incident Support Vehicles.

Each vehicle is required to conform to Chapter 8 livery and lighting requirements. This will include high visibility fluorescent chevron livery, an amber light bar and grille lights. The vehicles will also need a conversion to ensure the vehicle is functional as an Incident Support Unit, including welfare provisions, kit storage and incident management requirements.

The initial vehicle should be a white, Long Wheel Base Van with a High Roof and be a maximum of 3.5 Tonne fully laden. This is to ensure all drivers can drive on a modern Category B licence.

The Convertor will be expected to design and assist in the selection of suitable vehicles.
