The Council is seeking for organisations for the provision of start up business support.
This project will aim to encourage entrepreneurial activity across the Solihull and Birmingham local authority geographies, supporting early-stage businesses with the skills and support to enable them to establish their companies here, leading to further growth and development through further mainstream and specialist business support programmes. The project will aim to:
- osupport the registered number of start up businesses within the region,
- osupport business survival rates within the region.
Enabled through the following:
- oTo enable start ups to access relevant support including finance, premises, and skills,
- oTo support start ups with a credible business plan and financial forecasting,
- oTo equip entrepreneurs with the leadership and management skills to support their early-stage business,
- oTo facilitate local recruitment, business growth and productivity,
- oTo link to wider mainstream and specialist support across the region to support their continued growth and development.
Please note that this service will be delivered in conjunction with Solihull MBC.
The contract will be awarded to one supplier, commencing January 2024 for a period of 15 months (ending 31st March 2025).
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
