description

Highways England is looking to set up a contract for the undertaking of a research project baselining the existing research and guidance relating to social impacts of transport interventions in built up areas. Joint-funded by the Department for Transport, this work will strengthen HE and DfT's understanding of this area of appraisal and allow us to focus research and guidance moving forwards.

Delivering the Smart Motorways as a programme enables Highways England to deliver more improvements with a reduced number of resources. Since 2015, the Programme has been developing and improving its operating model to reach maturity and materialise the expected efficiencies during the project delivery phases.
