Northamptonshire County Council - Residential Short Breaks for Children and Young People with SEND

Northamptonshire County Council invites tenders for the delivery of residential short breaks for children and young people with SEND in Northamptonshire. The Provider will be required to provide overnight breaks to children who need to receive breaks in a specialist environment operated by skilled staff; that meets the needs of the children and young people with SEND and their families across the county of Northamptonshire.

Children and young people attending the service may have a dual diagnosis, such as Autism and Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or a child with physical disabilities who also may have a related severe learning or multiple disability. The Service will also need to provide a service for children and young people who have severe learning disabilities, who may have complex behaviours directly associated with their severe learning disability and who need to receive short breaks within a highly structured and safe environment.

The maximum budget available for delivery of service is £1,441,493 per annum, combining funding from Northamptonshire Country Council and Nene and Corby Clinical Commissioning Groups. The contract is for 3 years, with an optional one year extension taking the total possible contract term to a maximum of 4 years. The contract will commence on 1st August 2018

The Authority believes that TUPE does apply to this contract at its commencement. The deadline for completed ITTs to be received on the LGSS eTendering Portal is 12:00noon on Friday 6th April 2018.
