Conversion Skills - Reach Higher in Construction

West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) is seeking training providers to train individuals in the construction sector. This tender is part funded by the European Social Fund.

The aim of this commission is to deliver a training programme to support progression from site based roles up to the next level (e.g. Construction Manager and Project Manager). The training programme could also include individuals who are not site based, such as those in office based roles.

The scope of the provision being commissioned covers:

• (a)Employer engagement and recruitment of individuals to undertake training;

• (b)Development of training and delivery; and

• (c)Evaluation of the training provision and lessons learned report.

Engagement with stakeholders suggests the following topics should be included in the training programme: management, leadership, supervision, client engagement, commercial awareness, digital and skills, behavioural safety and risk management.
