Victoria Park Lodge Café - AWARD

Portsmouth City Council, 'the Authority', is inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced operators to deliver a café service with accompanying social value outcomes in Victoria Park.

The Authority is also seeking to maximise social value and benefits from a range of additional service/s that could be offered, for example gardening, animal welfare, and events in the park.

This tender offers an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with the Authority to deliver a range or social value outcomes and to improve the park for the benefit of both residents and visitors.

The lodge will provide an excellent facility to improve the offer of Victoria Park by providing a base for a high quality café, while simultaneously contributing to the Authority's aspiration of encouraging and enabling vulnerable residents.

The successful operator will be appointed via a service concession contract with associated lease agreement. The Authority is targeting to have awarded the service concession by 9th June 2017. The café should ideally be opened before the end of Summer 2017 in order to take advantage of summer trading.
