description
Tenders are invited by the Council from Providers with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the provision of Skills Bootcamps (the "Services").
Skills bootcamp:- Skills Bootcamp courses run for up to 16 weeks, 60 Guided Learning hours (non-digital), and up to 100 guided learning hours (digital) and form part of the government's commitment to helping adults learn the necessary knowledge and skills for new jobs in expanding sectors, such as digital, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and green technologies. They are developed by training providers in partnership with employers.
Kirklees council seeks Skills Bootcamps that align with the West Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan that enables employers and individuals to access the technical skills they need to support growth, transformation and increased productivity in our key sectors. To avoid duplication of regional and national Bootcamp offers - we specifically seek partners that can deliver Skills Bootcamps in the following key sectors:-
| • | Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing |
| • | Financial and Professional Services |
| • | Creative Industries |
| • | Construction |
The estimated value of the Services to be awarded is approximately £272,000 per annum.
The anticipated commencement date for the Contract(s) is 13th May 2024 or as soon as possible.
The anticipated expiry date for the Contracts is 31st March 2025, with the option to extend for a further twelve (12) months subject to the Skills Bootcamps being successful and the council being successful in receiving further grant funding from WYCA or DofE.
