Short Description

Havering Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and competent providers as it is looking to commission a floating support service that will support vulnerable people aged 16+ to improve their independent living skills and individual resilience.

The service will aim to provide generic support to a range of client groups by providing short term and targeted support to people living in the community. The service will work across the borough with a wide range of vulnerable individuals across many client groups, linking in with other services and facilities provided by the voluntary, community and statutory sector.

The service is expected to deliver on numerous individual outcomes aimed at preventing the need for statutory care and support services and is likely to include such elements as tenancy sustainment, developing daily living skills, help with budgeting and maintaining health and well-being.

Description of the procurement:

This procurement is for a floating support service for residents in Havering with the contract commencing on 1 August 2021. The Council is considering a 3-year contract with an extension of up to 2 years. The Council intends to publish the tender in November 2020.
