The London Consortium has established a Framework for purchase of Community Equipment and services. The Call Off contract from the Framework Agreement is between London Borough of Ealing and NOTTINGHAM REHAB LIMITED (TRADING AS NRS HEALTHCARE). It includes a local contract between NRS Healthcare and LBE for the provision of Telecare equipment and minor adaptations. The total value over 5 years is estimated as £16.5m

The contract allows London borough of Ealing to purchase Community Equipment. Community Equipment services provide equipment and small adaptations to support people living at home. Examples are riser/recliner chairs, bathroom and toilet adaptions and aids, pressure mattresses and sensory aids. As well as supporting people to live independently at home, community equipment can reduce the need for care and support and delay the need for more intensive support or treatment. Community equipment can reduce falls which can lead to hospital admission and support timely discharge from hospital when a person is recovering.
