ESCC - RFQ - SME Energy Efficiency

East Sussex County Council (the Council) provides a wide range of services on behalf of its residents, including social care, state education, roads, waste management, support to businesses and protection of the environment.

This requirement is for business support services within the Environment Team as part of the EU-funded Low Carbon Across the South and East 2 (LoCASE 2) program. LoCASE provides a business support program across the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) area and helps businesses to adopt low carbon solutions in ways that improve business performance in terms of resilience, profitability and competitiveness, at the same time contributing to the protection and preservation of the environment. LoCASE provides business support in the form of grants up to the value of £5,000 to increase demand for low carbon technology and to increase energy efficiency across the South East.

The LoCASE program has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2014-20. This project is receiving up to £7,138,387 of funding. The Department for Levelling Up, Communities and Housing is the Managing Authority for the European Regional Development Fund.

The partners in this programme are Kent County Council, East Sussex County Council, Essex County Council, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Thurrock Council and the University of Brighton.

The Council procured a provider in 2020 to deliver part of LoCASE 2. We are looking for a new provider to take over and complete LoCASE 2 in East Sussex.
