GB-Norwich: Norfolk and Waveney STP Health Coaching Services

Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Partnership (www.norfolkandwaveneypartnership.org.uk) is an aspirant Integrated Care System (ICS) comprised of a partnership of local health and care organisations committed to building healthier communities in Norfolk and Waveney. Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCHC) host the Workforce workstream of the STP which seeks to align workforce transformation to the emerging needs of our local population.

A key part in achieving this objective relies on the education, intervention and support provided by staff to patients and the population so that people can be empowered to take greater ownership of their own health and care needs.

Health Coaching is a clinical and communication tool which encourages positive behavioral change and increases patient activation allowing clinician and patient to engage more effectively. This engagement creates an environment where patients are more likely to feel empowered, more confident and able to take greater responsibility in managing their own health conditions.

As such, the Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Partnership would like to increase the benefit of Health Coaching to staff and service users by delivering them across the footprint of the STP.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
