description
Loughborough University (subsequently called the University) wishes to:
- oRefresh the VM (Virtual Machine) compute infrastructure;
- oAdd additional live storage capacity;
- oAdd additional backup storage capacity (disc based);
- oAdd additional network switches and licenses, and;
- oTo provide a pair of Business Continuity VM hosts.
This infrastructure underpins circa 600 virtual servers, all general file store, and backup services for the whole University.
The University intends to purchase a storage solution to meet the projected performance and capacity requirements of 12% compound growth per annum for the next five years.
