Integrated Sexual Health Services

Essex County Council (ECC) is looking for a suitably experienced provider to deliver an integrated sexual health service, covering services from primary prevention of sexual ill health and sexual health promotion through to treatment for sexually transmitted infections and genito-urinary medicine.

Key themes of the procurement will be seamless patient transition right through the sexual health pathway ensuring evidence-based, accessible and convenient local services, value for money through careful deployment of finite resource based on the Essex Sexual Health Needs Assessment 2013, continuous service improvement responsive to patient and commissioner need, and first class relationship building with key local partners.

The contract duration is expected to be 7 years with a maximum available budget of £8.2m per annum and an additional £765k per annum for management of GUM Out of Area invoices.

This tender will follow a restricted two-stage process with a contract commencement date of 1 April 2016.
