The project consists of 2 separate locations situated within and on the outskirts of Bedale, namely:
- Phase 1 - B6268, Masham Road from junction with Bedale Market Place to Bedale name plate opposite Mowbray School.
- Phase 2 - B6268, Masham Road, from 2 Watlass Moor Cottages to junction with Watlass Lane.
Phase 1
- Full width carriageway surface course plane off to a depth of 50mm including further additional deep binder inlay patching to further depths of 60mm and 100mm where required. Full width resurfacing with HRA Surface Course
- Adjustment of various ironwork
- Replacement of 31m of dropped kerb units
- Replacement of 15.8m of carriageway edge channel units
- Re-instatement of existing road markings
Phase 2
- Inlay patching to depths of 100mm and 150mm where required
- Haunching work (excavation to 0.5m deep) Specication included in tender docs appendix 36.1
- Adjustment of ironwork
- Replacement of existing road markings
Both sites will require access by local residents, businesses and Farmers gaining access to their property or land. Both phases will be undertaken under a temporary road closure with diversion for traffic as shown on diversion drawings provided. Due to the busy residential aspect of phase 1, these works must be undertaken on an evening between 6pm and 11pm and the road re-opened to the public between shifts, it is possible for some day works to be undertaken under traffic control if required. Phase 2 works shall be undertaken during normal working hours.
